Coaching Program

We want you to be better qualified to teach bicycle safety...
Become a one of our coaches!

CYCLE SMART Scholarships (we pay for everything!) are available for Lancaster Candidates wishing to establish a bicycling program or become a Coach for our program.

There are 3 easy steps:

  1. Become A Member of the League of American Bicyclists
  2. Attend a Bike Ed Road 1 Certification Course offered by the League of American Bicyclists. Contact us or check out the League's Schedule.
  3. Become a League Certified Instructor.
    Scholarships are available. Our Coaches & Coach Candidates are a part of the League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructors Program, www.BikeLeague.org.

Obey All Traffic Laws
You have the same rights and responsibilities as a driver.

Be Predictable
Maintain a straight line. Use hand signals when turning.

Pay Attention, Assert Yourself & Ride Defensively

Be Visible
Wear Bright Colors.

Ride on the Right
Go with the flow, NEVER ride against it.

And Remember...

  • Safe actions create safe situations.
  • Attitude is responsibility on the road.
  • Fare better with the rules of the road.
  • Educate others.
